Relationship Instead of Religion — Building a Life on Truth
A spiritual life can only carry what its foundation was built to support. Paul describes himself as a wise master builder who lays a foundation upon which others can build. At the same time, he makes it clear that the true foundation of our lives is Jesus Christ.
Many believers know biblical truths yet experience them only partially as reality in their own lives. Believed lies, false images of God, and religious conditioning can become foundations that prevent us from living in the freedom and fullness of what God has intended for us.
The “Apostolic Foundation of Faith” seminar series addresses precisely this. Through biblical teaching, the work of the Holy Spirit, and guided prayer, existing foundations are brought to light and examined according to the Word of God.
Following the principle of Jeremiah 1:10, what is old is uprooted, torn down, and demolished so that truth can be established, built, and planted anew.
Our goal is not merely to know the truth, but to be built upon truth—so that revelation becomes lived reality.
Seminar Content
The seminar series covers 14 foundational areas of spiritual life:
- Foundation in Jesus Christ — Jesus Himself as the foundation of our entire spiritual life
- Foundation in the Word of God — God’s Word as the standard and foundation for truth
- Foundation in the Father’s Love — knowing God as He truly is and living from His love
- Foundation in Our Identity in Christ — knowing and living out who we are as sons and daughters of God
- Foundation in the Holy Spirit — living in fellowship with Him, experiencing His guidance, and moving in His power
- Foundation in Grace — living from the finished work of Jesus rather than from our own performance
- Foundation in Faith — trusting God’s truth and living and acting from His reality
- Foundation in Freedom — recognizing and taking hold of the freedom Jesus has secured for us
- Foundation in Joy — living in joy as a reality of the Kingdom of God and a fruit of fellowship with Him
- Foundation in True Worship — living a life centered on God in spirit and in truth
- Foundation in Community — recognizing our place in the Body of Christ and living out our faith in healthy relationships
- Foundation in Spiritual Authority — living under God’s authority and responsibly exercising the authority entrusted to us in Christ
- Foundation in Our Mission — understanding that we are sent by Jesus just as He was sent by the Father
- Foundation in the Kingdom of God — understanding God’s rule, recognizing our place within it, and making His Kingdom visible in every area of life
How the Seminar Series Is Structured
Each foundation combines biblical teaching with personal application and guided prayer.
The focus is on:
- understanding God’s truth for an area of life from a biblical perspective
- examining our own beliefs and spiritual conditioning in light of that truth
- recognizing lies, false images of God, and religious foundations
- consciously letting go of the old through prayer
- receiving God’s truth as a new foundation
- giving the Holy Spirit room to turn truth into revelation and lived reality
Learning Objectives
After completing the seminar series, participants should:
- have developed a solid biblical foundation for their spiritual lives
- know God more deeply, not merely through knowledge but through a living relationship with Him
- be able to recognize false images of God and deeply rooted lies and replace them with biblical truth
- stand more securely in their identity as sons and daughters of God
- live from grace, faith, freedom, and joy
- live in fellowship with the Holy Spirit and follow His guidance
- recognize their place in the Body of Christ and in the Kingdom of God
- understand their spiritual authority and their mission
- live on a foundation that can support their calling and their continuing spiritual journey
Why This Seminar Series Matters
What we build throughout our spiritual journey can only carry, in the long term, what an appropriate foundation has been laid to support. What matters is not only how much truth we know, but what our lives are actually built upon.
The greater what God desires to build in our lives and through us, the more important it is to have a foundation capable of carrying that structure.
That is why spiritual maturity includes continually aligning the foundations of our lives with Jesus Christ and the truth of His Word.
